Azaleas are blooming and baby egrets are hatching at Shangri La Gardens. Soon the spoonbills will be

In Orange, TX there is an oasis called Shangri La Gardens. After Hurricane Ike hit on September 13, 2008 it was forced to close for 6 months
while making repairs. On March 7, 2009 they had their reopening. Check out the gallery for updated photos. I now have an opportunity
to visit more than I might normally and will definitely take advantage of that so look for more photos in the near future.

I have finished my trip to Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas Panhandle. Often referred to as the Texas Grand Canyon, Palo Duro is 120 miles long, as much as 20 miles wide, and has a maximum depth of more than 800 feet. I also went to
Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge. Check out the pictures in my galleries.

I have returned from my down the Texas Gulf Coast to Padre Island National Seashore and many state parks and national wildlife refuges.
